i received my results on the 15th.
My Gpa this sem is 3.4, a drop from last sem's 3.7.
but im okay with it.
An A for global issues, B+ for almost everything else and one C+. (so not suprised).
All my friends were disappointed with their grades, fucking ChildDev brought everything down.
3.4 is,in all fairness, a rather good grade but..
I'm striving to maintain a gpa of 3.5 and above, in order for me to apply for a local uni.
speaking of that, did you guys read the papers 2-3 days ago?
Poly grads fighting for places in universities.
When i read the article, my first reaction was FUCK.
cause im gunning for a place in a local uni to study psychology.
not only will i be competing with jc students, I'd also have to push and shove people from the new psychology courses.
so two options-
one. give my all for every assignment/presentation/exam and even attachment. (yuck)
apparently, i have to be active in a cca and in extreme cases, do community work.
D:
two.apply for a university overseas.either new york (nyu, i hope.HAH) or australia.
reason being is i save lotssss of cash if i bunk in with either of my brothers.
and ive got someone to cook and care for me.hehe.
i really really really have to make it to a local uni though cause then my parents would have to fork out even more $$, and then id have to bid my boyfriend and my bestfriends goodbye.
on the other hand, if i leave the country, there's a wider range of other degrees or electives i get to major in.
like journalism, politics etc.
i would love to major in psych though.
are you guys thinking...why the hell is she thinking about this?
she's only gonna be in second year this april.
but time passes really fast these days, and goals should already be set.
sigh.
love,nafeesa.
